Online Safety, Human Trafficking Topics of 10/29 Parent Ed Night

All parents/guardians and community members are invited to attend Protecting Our Children: Online Safety and Human Trafficking Awareness, a virtual presentation hosted by the Orcutt Union School District on Wednesday, October 29, at 6:00 p.m. The Zoom link to the event is https://orcuttschools.zoom.us/j/86326208957
Human trafficking is happening on the Central Coast, and everyone should be aware of it. Learn how traffickers use social media to recruit victims, to proliferate their trafficking operations, and to control victims. Hear how to keep your children safe when they are online. The presenter, California Highway Patrol Officer Maria Barriga, is a law enforcement expert on trafficking and has given numerous talks on the topic, including a well attended, well received presentation for OUSD parents in May.
Everyone is encouraged to attend this virtual presentation. Officer Barriga will allow time for questions on this important subject.
Thank you!
